Can you tell I have a LOT of time on my hands? lolI was thinking , in the "donate" section it has a Paypal attachment , if anyone is familiar with Ebay and Paypal , you could have a few auctions to fund your donation , I love this group and obviously it isn't a minimal cost venture , sometimes pulling money from your bank account or pocket even for something that you love can be hard these days , especially the way we're being forced to pay out the wazoo for gas , but throwing a few items online and paying straight from Paypal is nearly effortless and only costs nearly pennies for the auction! Think about it , see what you can come up with !Lisa J

Yeah I think both the clothes and the Avon will sell--I have not had a chance to go thru things yet but plan to next week.  I know I have a couple dvds I am not interested in, some old vhs tapes that I might try--a ton of books and some beanies...  That's just scratching the surface.   My only suggestions is to keep the item weight down, the less the shipping the more likely people will be to buy the item.

Chris and I will be working on organizing the sale next week, so if some of you are not comfortable with doing the selling and tracking your sales, let us know we can include your stuff in our auctions and track them for you.

I was thinking about looking at the donation thing too...I may open an account for WIPS...We have quite a few things to figure out.

Many moons ago I sold Mary Kay on Ebay, so I would think that Avon would sell just great there too!  Just grab all the stuff you want to sell, any old clothes are great, I think I've even got a bunch.  You'd be surprised at the stuff people buy/sell on Ebay!!    Let us know what you can get!!

I know that kids clothes were mentioned as a suggestion. But what about women's clothes. I've lost some weight and I was about to donate a whole bag full to Amvets or Purple Hearts, but I'd rather have you guys "profit" from them. Does anyone know how well that stuff sells? I've only bought a couple of things from e-bay and have never considered clothing. Let me know. It will be yours! I also sell Avon and have a ton sitting here, some of it collectables. I have some of last years Christmas stuff that I didn't get sold. It may sell well on e-bay. I see there is demand there for Avon. I should just open up my garage doors and let you take whatever! That will make my husband thrilled and in love with you!

Yeah Lisa, GREAT idea!!

I have 2 works  BEENIE BABIES  They gotta go!

I will be putting those up for auction. I have a purse to put up also...impulse buy that I never used. So sad...

I bet once I start digging I can come up with more STUFF to sell.

Have a great one and keep up the good work.

Hugs

Lisa, I  just realized, I never gave you credit for this great idea at the meeting!   It is very much appreciated--I apologize for being such a ditz!    GREAT JOB!     Ann

Start sending some stuff our way to auction!   I've got some protection bracelets I can put towards the group.  I obviously have to recover my cost, but will be happy to donate the profit to the group.  I would do that for any ghost hunting bracelets the group will purchase too (Chris will be mentioning them tomorrow at the meeting).  I'll try and think up some other stuff to Ebay.  I am Ebay queen!

EXACTLY!!!  We're all in this together and while I'm sure no one here wants money people can't afford to give  there are so many ways to make a decent donation possible!

CD's , DVD'S , kids clothing , these are some BIG sellers and can come in handy , give it a try , it just might work

Good luck to all who try

Actually I think that is a great idea......a way for people to donate without a  huge hit to the pocket book

I have plenty of things that might fetch a good price (but one person's treasure is another person's junk...and vice versa)
