OK guys, I was reading some of SWPRG's posts for fundraiser ideas... they really had some good stuff there.One that stuck out to me was a dance party... I would love to throw a haunted themed dance party / costume ball maybe in the fall sometime to bring publicity. Get some great music in there. We should definitely look into it. I was thinking that would be a perfect opportunity to use the Olde Towne Hall in Crystal Lake.Obviously our tours we will be starting in September and I'm looking for stories to include. I have a few ideas but we need to fill a tour guys, so I need all the help I can get to get some research on this. That means you guys need to pop in some thoughts. I'd love to get some of you to work the tours as well if you are interested. Some I'd like to do as walking tours in the down town areas around our parts, as well as some trolley tours to different locations.We had come across a group at the last Crafty Crafters that hosts cruises for SUPER CHEAP, and they would even work on one where we make a drive out to Myrtles Plantation. I was thinking we can get a whole haunted theme to get on this cruise - with story telling and guest speakers, etc. Plus on our stop off's upon landing we would hit up haunted locations. Hmm... I could use a cruise. But that would be a cool one to advertise, I'm sure we would get some takers on that.We're also still planning to do our event but probably in September - in time to bring publicity for tours.I would love to hear some of your ideas. I think a haunted house in the Halloween time would be fun as well. I remember they set one up in the woods over in Crystal Lake here at the Veterens Acres. I wonder what it would take to set up something like that... and would any of you be interested in working it in character, etc.? I live for Halloween, so I would enjoy that quite a bit.Hmm... and I AM a director... we could arrange a small version of Chicago-Ween out here, with the storytelling, plays, and characters, etc. Pumpkin carving contests... etc. We could try to do it near the lake like all the other festivals. I wonder what that would require. I can try contacting the city about what would need to happen. Maybe some fortune tellers just for silliness.Hey, let me know what you think guys. We need some financial flow here so we can start adding on our equipment, get some good trips going, etc.
