No, I haven't heard anything about that yet. I worked at Bed Bath and Beyond (quite a ways down from there, I know) for 5 years  and the younger people I worked with would try to say they saw things all the time!!!
Wasn't this area along 14 the same area hit by a tornado in . . . '67 I think? That could bring up some interesting ideas . . .

I don't blame Florence. I'd be mad if I donated something like that and the church turned it around to make a buck. It doesn't seem to me that the church members are all that grateful, but then again, I don't know their thinking. I'm sure they had a rational reason. But from Florences stand point, it was not nice.
I was just in the Dominicks on Monday. Anybody hear of anything from the big box stores there? I vaguely remember something about the Target having merchandise move. But I could be confusing it with another story.

Brenda, I thought it was ironic (and kind of funny actually) that I checked into having meetings at "The Point" center because it hires out it's meeting spaces, but they would not welcome us there because of the nature of our group...
Yet we're looking for good 'ol Florence herself... you'd think they would be a little lenient since she's the reason they even have a place there in the first place.... oh well. I just had to chuckle.

The current owners of the shopping center are Inland Real Estate Management. according to fiscal report 2004. They acquired it in 12/00
Florence Bohl placed her farm into an irrevocable trust with the church years before her death. She was given an income from it but the this means there may not be an actual will per se...Not sure about that though.

It was nice to meet you Shady!! I'm glad you found that we are not that frightening. LOL  Thanks for the comments on the pics again. ONE of the tours that I went on there, the tour guide said some people claim to see a little girl in one of the upper windows. I have not seen that particular tour guide there since, and no one else says anything. I like that it's not all over books and websites, like it's still and "unspoiled" location. In a couple weeks my cousin and I plan on going to take more outside pics there. My cousin just got a new camera and is interested in capturing the architecture the building . . and you all know why I wanna go. When we go, I will let you all know.
Just so you all know, Mike DID go to Pier 1 and the manager was not there at that time but Mike left one of our flyers with the employee he spoke to and asked her to pass it on to the manager. The girl did not say anything either way, but Mike said she did not seem surpised or like it was a weird thing. *shrugs*

I also thought the meeting went very well, and I definantly look forward to participating in some investigations and future meetings. I wasn't sure what to expect for the first meeting that I was attending, but I am glad it was all nice people with good personanlities; as opposed to a few people that watch way too much TV and don't get out much hah. I look forward to the next meeting/investigation and I will see everyone again!

Thanks you guys! It's really great to know that we're growing a dedicated team, which it seems really that everyone is - very exciting to start moving forward. Actually I am impressed that it is starting to move along now. It felt difficult at first but things are coming into place now, and in the next few months I really feel like everything will take off after that first investigation! We've got a ton in the works, so along with those we set up and the new ones that come in! I know we'll do great!!
Mandy, great pictures!! The Dole Mansion is one that I was never "sure" it was haunted. I always just assumed it was... like it has that feeling or "air" about it. Perhaps it's just the architecture playing tricks with my mind, but I've never heard one story of a haunting there - but always thought that it was. I think your pictures cemented it a bit more. The orb I would say is not just an orb, it definitely has the look of a face... I will try and do some looking into the location. Maybe I'll sick you on some of that too Lisa!  But it's a place I'd really just love a chance to delve into. I'll let you know what I can do!!
We've really got a great team, guys! I'm looking forward to working with each and every one of you as you each have something special to dedicate to the group! Thanks so much everyone for your love of the paranormal and bringing it with passion to the group with dedicated hard work and excitement!!

Sorry I for got to mention your photos! The face one was just bizzare , I loved it ! The other one was so subtle but I did see something definite , it's amazing that you caught it , makes one wonder what's in other pictures!
Can't wait for the 5th and the next meeting!

I had a great time at the meeting too! It seems as if a lot of things are really coming together and I can't wait to get into it! We have a diverse group so our findings will be interesting! Thankyou to everyone who looked at my pics of the Dole Mansion and gave me honest opinions! That's what it's all about!
