Thanks again to everyone who attended the meeting last night! I think for a first meeting together, it was quite a success!Here's some of the topics we covered that I'd still like your feedback on if you want to post it here or drop me an e-mail!We have now officially joined the American Ghost Society, and are going to become "area reps". To do this I have contacted Ursula Bielski (the coordinator in our area for new reps). This will hopefully give us a reputable leg to stand on in the community and will also give us access to special e-mails, seminars, etc. As a member, I will make sure all signed up members of our group who actively participate in investigations and meetings will get to be a part of all this!Also, we had discussed different methods of displaying our logo and name. Name Tags, T-Shirts, Jackets, Hats, you name it. Please display any of your ideas on this here so we can get a discussion going and hopefully get some orders in the works. Also, let us know if you would like this to be a "uniform" for investigations - and how much you are willing to spend. I know we all are weary of spending money in the beginning - so we can get further established before we spend our well-earned cash, but please do lend me any ideas of logos so we can get our advertisements ready to go - business cards, advertisement notecards, press packet for the newspaper, etc.Please be sure to send me your name if you are wanting to join up on either of the Joliet trips (the prison or the theater). I was told there may be a small fee involved, so let me know ASAP if these are something you are wanting to join on. ALSO - Ursula Bielski offers Chicago tours to private groups. Please send me your names and I can see about arranging a private tour of her haunted locations - and I'm going to work on getting some actual investigation time in on some of these spots. Let me know if you are interested, I will try to arrange something for October possibly as a group activity. I am sure there will be a cost associated with her tour - so I will see how much this will be.Troy Taylor did e-mail me stating that he will be in the Chicago area for his birthday on September 26 - through Ursula's website you can sign up to go on a Haunted Pub Crawl for Troy's birthday. Other pub crawls that he will be here for are Oct. 8 and Oct. 13.
