Just to make a quick note, a general vote decided to add a couple of new rules at the meeting last night. You will see these additions to the rules on the main website. Just wanted to give everyone a head's up!Please RSVP for only meetings and investigations that you are sure you can make it to.If you need to cancel for an investigation, provide as much notice as possible (48 hours at least if possible).If you do not arrive to an investigation that you have RSVP'd to, it is ground for termination from future investigations.?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />Make sure all cell phones are SILENT and keys (or other noisemaking objects) are secured as to not disrupt any evidence on the investigation.In the matter of the first rule, we understand there are emergencies and things that come up, please try to give us as much notice as you can. This is especially important for investigations, though we do ask you to reply if you have RSVP'd to a meeting and don't think you can make it if you are expected. This is just common courtesy to all of the members and leaders. However, we do determine certain members on investigations, so we will need to get replacements if needed and do not want to hold up investigations waiting for someone who never intended on arriving in the first place.The second rule is also pretty straight forward. We need all items that could disrupt investigations, provide us with false "positive" evidence and downright irritate people taken care of. If you absolutely need a phone with you (which most of us think we do) - please make sure it is on silent. If you need to make a call, you will need to find a place away from the main investigation(s) to make this call. Any other objects that could disrupt must be kept in the holding location for all of our bags and other equipment not being used on an investigation. If you have something on your "person" that you can not leave there for some reason, please be sure it is muffled so that it will not disrupt any of the group's activity.Thanks a bunch guys for these great ideas - they've been updated on the site!!Erica
