I had to write a historical fiction for a semester paper in one of my english classes. I wanted to go with something local and I came across a ghost story about a haunted studio in Chicago, Harper Studio. I posted a message with hopes that I might get any helpful information from you guys and anyone else plugged in that might know some interesting facts. Apparently the place is very active and it has an interesting history behind it, not including Oprah. In 1915 a boat called The Eastland capsized in the Chicago River between Clarke and LaSalle streets. When I learned about this I decided to write my historical fiction as a thriller, including a few realistic elements. Like you guys. I hope it doesn't seem too odd, but I made a fictional team from the Wisconsin Illinois Paranormal Society that was investigating the studio and had some very interesting encounters, while at the same time, I explain the events that happened almost a century ago through the eyes of an Irish immigrant, bound for the boat's destination. It's only thirteen pages and barely merits the class of a short story, but I'm proud of it, and I also hope that my thanks to those who helped aren't wasted. Give me another week though, and I'll post it on my profile or something.
By the way, I got an A+.
