OK, this is the show I've been waiting for - for almost a year now. A feature film was made at Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville, KY backover a year ago. This film was aptly named "The Death Tunnel" as it aims to scare viewers in what has become the haunting highlight of this ominous facility. Did it work... no - not really. It is just another slasher film to me.However, at the same time this film was shot, I recall seeing that the filmmakers were working on a documentary of their experiences while shooting. THIS is the feature I was waiting for, originally slated to be released with the actual DVD - it apparently was overlooked, and SCIFI channel has picked it up. It will be airing June 7 for it's premiere... though I am sure it will show several times after...Tivo is firing up to record as we speak... here's more details for those who are interested:http://www.scifi.com/spooked/

OK, I've never shot a documentary yet, but I know more about mic-ing people then these yutzes.  And it ticks me off that they get paid big bucks to make some crap movie about such a fabulous story!!  It's called a lavalier mic boys, try it so we can hear the geriatric old people who's voices disappear into thin air about 1/2" from their faces...

EVP's??? You call those EVP's??  I would be embarassed to post that on our website!  Photographs?  No there couldn't be dust in that huge place.  And brown imps?  That's one they didn't tell us about on the tour...  And child boy... yeah... ok.  Very nice work fellas. 

The history on the other hand... very nice.  I actually feel as if I walked away from it having learned a bit more.  One HUGE piece of information that was not given on our tour (at least when I went) was that it's final days was used as a convalescent (sp?) home.  That seems very important to me about the hauntings that could be present.  Especially when they seemed to pass over these people as if they meant nothing.  The treatments they received and the way people handled them, would leave quite a bit of trauma behind in an already troubled atmosphere. 

I love Waverly, though.  I won't let this sillyness deter me from wanting to return again and again.  Stupid hair band movie makers... we will go.  But when the temps are a bit cooler... summer at Waverly is a bit sticky and uncomfortable.

Oh, I forgot about the volume issue.  We were blasting it, then racing to turn it down every time a commercial came on!

I wasn't impressed nor disappointed, mainly it was something to watch....it fed my need to know more, and has me really wanting to go see the place for myself....Only about 1/2 the photos came close to interesting me, and really only one of the EVP's---I was much more interested in hearing from the people that resided/worked there those stories fascinated me.   I really hated the sound editing--sometimes I could bearly hear the person talking --so I turned up the volume--then the commercials came on and I was blasted from the room!  Overall, I think my anticipation oversold the end result.

I thought it was good . . except for the "evidence" they tried to show.  One of the pictures was hilarious.  And why do they TRY to make the EVP's sound all freaky?!  I just want to hear them AS IS!!!  I hate it when effects are added.  What did you guys think?  What did you all think of the whole orb subject . . . like the one with the "eyeball" in the middle?  LMAO.

 . . and I wish we would have known sci-fi was going to air it before some of us wasted an hour and a half of our lives watching that movie.  For those of you who didn't see it . . consider yourselves lucky!!!  LOL  I will be watching sci-fi wednesday!
