You have taken my first piece of advice... Ask questions! Lots of Questions, like your post aboutequipment. Anyone passionate about this hobby will talk your ear off about it! LOL!! Any ghost hunter worth their salt will share anything they know with you...For me this pursuit of the unknown has less to do with "proof" then the actual pursuit. I love the comradarie! The shared stories etc! So find yourself a group you are comfortable with and volunteer yourself! The best way to learn is to do. If you are specifically interested in our Group, WIPS will have it's next open to the public meeting at the Panera Bread in Fox River Grove, IL on 10/17 (Wed) at 7pm.

Yes question are a good place to start. You can weed out people that are sincere from the crazy ones just by talking to them....we have been stuck for hours before on the phone with crazy people!!! Then you will KNOW not to go to their home for an investigation, lol!

Always be considerate of the people and their homes or businesses that you are in. Never make fun of or disrespect their homes, belongings or the people in the home. (even if you really do want to make fun of them...just save it for after the investigation   make sure to get back to the homeowner after your investigation with feedback even if you found nothing. Don't leave them hanging.

there are so many things but you will learn so much as you go along.!!

Happy hunting
