My 'What is Mediumship?' workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, February 24th from 10 am until 3 pm.This is an introductory workshop aimed primarily at people who don't have a lot of experience working with their psychic senses, but people who are more advanced will learn something as well. Participants will learn:An explanation oftheir psychic senses (we learn about them)An exploration of their psychic senses (we practice with them)The basics of aura protectionAn explanation of your spirit guides and how they work with youA meditation to meet your master teacher guidemediumship practice (everyone will practice giving evidential messages from spirit)I had to raise the cost to $40 per person to cover the cost increase for space rental. Due to space restrictions, I have to limit the class to 14 people so please call early to sign up. If you are interested, please call Cleo's Aroma-pothecary at (815) 966-1240. If you have any questions about the workshop, feel free to contact me. Thanks!

I have to say I throughly enjoyed the day....the company and the learning. You re-affiirmed what I had suspected and accepted a long time ago. And now I just need to play to my strengths. I had a few surprises which were not unpleasant. As for a headache noo but I needed down time afterwards and though I had quiet time for the hour drive home I could not completely decompress and I was rather quiet for the next hour after that. Luckily my husband and son were talkative enough on the drive to Evanston.  I was absolutely exhausted from the day when we finally got home after midnite and I dropped off to sleep almost immediately. My guides spent the night trying to help me puzzle out a minor problem I have (need for babysitter Tues nite). But the dreams actually seemed clearer and not so symbolic.

I am going to see if I can take the next level workshop myself but may not be able to do the one end of March. It fully depends on a lot of factors. I have to puzzle out my order of strengths but...I am leaning towards the possiblity that they may rotate in strength depending on the situation.

I know that the way I do things will be different from others, I have always been that way but I am excited about exploring that possiblity.

thank you soooo much Mark. I throughly enjoyed myself  at the workshop.

LOL!   I actually looked like I had a headache-stupid dark circles give it away everytime!  I woke up with one that morning because of the approaching storm, I tend to be weather sensitive.   It got really bad that evening, to the point I was in bed by 9:30!  I also notice that I do tend to get headaches when working like this. After each Reiki class I had a headache, though by the third class, it was not as intense. I find that chocolate helps to really ground me afterwards.  Unfortunately, I did not think ahead, I did not have any at home.

Headache aside, I really enjoyed your workshop Mark--I am thinking I will take the next one too--provided nothing comes up. My spirit guides must have a lot more for me. The top of my head is still tingling!  I was surprised at how easily it came to me.  Once I stopped trying to figure it out and just stated what I saw / heard, things were much easier.   I was equally surprised at how much was validated immediately.

I am also still puzzling out my order of intuitiveness (if that is a word! ).  They seem to be pretty equally weighted.   I do know Clairvoyence is my strongest but the Clairaudience and Clairsentience seem to be warring for second place.  It will be interesting to see how the Phychometry will play a part.  I was a bit disappointed that no one could read for me, but I guess I was to busy concentrating on giving the reading to "allow" anyone else in.

I had something interesting happen in my dreams last night.  The first question you had us ask our guides came back with an affirmative in class but last night in my dreams it was negative.   I wonder if it is just my subconscience fears messing with me.   ARRG!  Maybe my guides just don't want me to know yet.....Sigh!

I bought that book you suggested Mark,  the idiots guide to "Communicating with Spirits"  It appears to have some interesting exercises to try--I read a bit of it before the headache made my eyes start crossing.   I would love to find some more that have exercises to help me work on it a bit.   I would also like to know how you make a room a protected space, like you did for class--is there some ritual you follow or is it just a matter of asking you guides and angel to do it? I was very comfortable in that room and I would like to achieve that for myself at home--I have had the bad poke at me before and have been very resistent to opening myself up while I am alone.   I have used the "bubble" method you taught but when I am alone sometimes it does not feel like enough.

Anyway, all in all it was a great experience I realize I have a lot more to learn!

Okay, edited to add........I just went to amazon and bought the other two books you recommeded plus a second one by Sonia about the spirit guides.   I guess I have a lot of reading to do! LOL

For those people who were at my workshop today, I had suggested finding a Dream Dictionary to help with interpreting the information you were receiving psychically.  Here is an online one that I really like using.

Just out of curiosity, did those of you who were at the workshop feel like you got anything out of it?  Giving a mediumship reading is usually a LOT different than you really expect it to be.  It really does take a lot of energy to connect with people in spirit.  Anyone leave with a headache?

Haha!

Hey at least they could tell you how many people are signed up.  When I called they lost the signup sheet.

This is going to be fun, I love doing the workshops!

The address is 1410 N. Main Street, Rockford, Illinois.

If you are coming from I-90 West the easiest way to get there is to get off at State Street and go right.  Follow State until you get to Perryville Road and turn right.  Follow Perryville Road to Spring Creek (I think it is about the 4th light.)  Turn left on Spring Creek and follow it.  Spring Creek turns into Auburn Avenue as you cross the Rock River.  Follow Auburn until you cross N. Main.  One street past north main turn right (it is a small side street) named Latham place.  Turn into the parking lot and Cleo's is pretty easy to find.  It is the only building there that is a little purple house with a small yard, squished in between a bunch of brick buildings.

Sorry it took me so long to get back about the number of people signed up.  The store I'm having the workshop at finally told me that right now, I have 8 people signed up.  So there is still room if anyone would like to sign up or knows someone who would!

Part of what helped my case is that I have a business license (which makes me more respectable in the eyes of the paper), and also that I am an ordained minister (which means that I can legally offer spiritual counseling for financial compensation).

I basically took away all of their arguments with the exception of the fact that I am an extra-large medium and not everyone is open to that spooky stuff!

I just do not understand why the paper would care in the 1st place!!! At least you were able to get it listed anyway. As long as you are not doing anything illegal I do not think they can really tell you no. I am not a bg lawsuit kind of person but that would be discrimination for sure. Maybe they took a look at what COULD become a problem and made the correct decision to print your listing. Gotta love it!!

Yeah there are a lot of narrow minded people out there.   I am definitely interested and so far the date is good for me. I will probably be calling this week with my reservation

Ay Carumba!  I forget sometimes how closed minded people can be.  I had a very difficult time getting a local paper to list my workshop in their local events section.  Most newspapers have an area where upcoming events can be listed in a calendar.  I have had a few issues in the past, but nothing like this.

It was really interesting to hear the person on the phone try and explain why my workshop was different from a beading class and why my workshop shouldn't be listed.  In the end it did get listed.
